I went to a birthday dinner for a longtime friend of mine. On my way there, I was really worried that I would crack on my sobriety, but then I thought about this app. And how I named my little creature Nyx after my black cat who passed in 2021 (she was my soul kitty- haven’t had another of my own since). And I thought that I would hate to disappoint Nyx and myself on this journey. When I got to dinner, everyone was taking shots and ordering alcohol. Although it was really tempting, I was really glad that my friends all supported me on this journey and did not pressure me to have a drink at all. Felt great to walk away and be proud that I didn’t have a sip.
