Not doing well today. I have a reactive dog from past relationship and am not a dog person but committed. We are in a walk up in busy city. She only goes potty blocks away for 7 years now. Drinking Friday alone, I blacked out and have no memory of cutting my foot and getting ten stitches. I had to walk my dog still so I drank to make it tolerable but she was pulling and hurting me. Then my foot got infected and doctor requiring me to rest and not walk. My dog refuses to walk with anyone but me so I’m trapped. I paid a dog walker twice yesterday for it to last five minutes. There’s literally no other help and no way out. I tried so hard to make this ok for me cause I’m trying so hard to stay sober but: going outside walking dog is my biggest trigger. I always drink before. So now I guess I have to drink to take care of this dog :(
