New here. Not by choice either, which is the hardest part.. My partner has been sober for 2 years. Unfortunately on his 2 year sober anniversary, i was sick and hungover from going out the night before. Im very embarrassed with myself and feel horrible about it. It wasn’t my intention and i was sick from mixing liquor on an empty stomach. (rookie mistake). He was always comfortable with me drinking while he was sober but after what happened, he wants me to be sober with him. He doesn’t want anything to do with drinking for both of us, and i value our relationship so my only choice now is to get sober.. and im probably going to really struggle with it. Any advice or thoughts is really appreciated.
