if I could, it would be to my own bed, in my own room with my own things and my cat next to me with the book I’m reading at the time. I have housing instability and haven’t had this security for awhile but, it’s where I know I’ve been and felt the most safe. every day outside of having that independence keeps my nervous system shot. no place feels safe even if it is safe because its not those things of mine.
