I shared for the first time in an AA meeting. The topic was “how we feel today”. I am alcohol free 53 days today. Other shares were about the 12 steps, god, their higher power. I shared my rescue dog, Babygirl. Through these months she had been by myside. On the hardest days she would lay her 65lb body across mine and not move until I did. After two months of not seeing her, I visited with her yesterday throughout the afternoon. For a few hours I felt truly happy and at ease. I cried when sharing. Not sure what others in the meeting thought, but that was how I felt today. My Babygirl, my higher power. Thank you for reading.
