An unexpected gift recovery has given me is the gift of peace. I found my way back to God and now that I have such a strong relationship with him I have found such peace in my life. More often than not I’m happy or at least content throughout my day. I’m so grateful that God led me to recovery and recovery led me to God, and that I now know peace. I’m able to be alone and sit with myself without drowning in my own thoughts. Life is beautiful today and I owe it all to God and to my sobriety
