Welllll TODAY I had an appt at the SS office to get my name changed to my new last name since I just got married. My license expired on my birthday, 3 weeks ago. So I figured I’d go ahead and get another one before going up to the SS office to save me the trip in case they wouldn’t take it since it was expired. (Which fucks my original plan cause I was just gonna wait until after to get my license since I have to go get a new one anyways right after I get my name changed🫠) ANYWAYS 25 dollars and a horrible picture later and I find out that they no longer print out the license at the office. (You have to wait 15-30 days for it to come through the mail)🙃 but they gave me this nice little driving certificate and my old license with a hole punched in it so I figured this would work. Well I get home, search for 30 min for my marriage certificate that had done fell off and under my dresser. Drive 45 minute to the SS office with my 3 children, waited 15 minutes, finally get called back for her to tell me she couldn’t except that as a form of ID. 🤬 so now, despite ALL of my efforts to save time, money, and frustrations on this journey to get my name changed, I have to reschedule my appt for probably another 2 months out, get my new ID in the mail, go back up there and waste my time and gas AGAIN. Then go to the DMV and pay for ANOTHEr license and wait 15-30 days for my new one to come in. YALL the way I wanted to blow that bitch UP. 😤 I could have ATE a cigarette.
