1 week sober

Hey everyone. I’m currently 10 days sober and could really use some advice. My relationship ended because of my drinking. I kept promising I’d stop but I couldn’t and I hurt someone I cared about . Since then I’ve gotten sober, started going to the gym and sent him an apology explaining that I was struggling with active alcoholism. He never opened or responded to it. The guilt has been really hard to carry and I feel so empty. I can’t help but feel like I’m a terrible person because of everything that happened. When I drank, I would become a mess and bring up a lot of unresolved pain and past trauma. I have taken full responsibility for my actions but it’s hard not to feel ashamed of the person I was while I was drinking. I’m struggling to forgive myself, accept that it’s over and move on. If he’s made it clear that he wants nothing to do with me why am I having such a hard time accepting it? For those who’ve been through something similar, how did you cope with the guilt, let go of the relationship and stay focused on your recovery?
