My mum let me stay home from school when I was having a depressive episode, it meant a lot to me because I’m usually not allowed, so it calmed me down that I was allowed to get myself together in the comfort of my own home :) I also told one of my best friends about my struggle with depression, SH, and suicidal thoughts and it made me feel a little bit better because it reminded me that even when it feels like I have no support system, there will always be someone always ready to listen!
